Disney Trip - Day 2 - Magic Kingdom @ Rope Drop

Full family picture in front of Cinderella's Castle to finish up a fantastic day at the Magic Kingdom!

Waiting at "rope drop" (when the park opens) and prepared to run to Dumbo!

When we got to Dumbo, it wasn't working yet (the cast members told us that Dumbo hasn't found his magic feathers, so he can't fly yet), so we decided to head toward to Peter Pan's Flight and after that we went on The Adventures of Winnie the Pooh.

We checked on Dumbo and it was operating, so we rode Dumbo! The kids were very excited!

Next up: Toontown & Goofy's Barnstormer Roller Coaster for Doug, Samantha & Alden. Samantha even sat by herself and they did 2 times in a row!

The princesses were our next priority! Clair was afraid of the princesses too! :( Alden loved them and lingered a little too long sometimes! :)

Next door to the princesses, was Mickey's house! We made sure to take our time walking through it, because they are going to tear it down in February to make room for the Fantasy Land Expansion. It's sad because kids that are 5 & under love to see where Mickey lives! Afterall, he was the inspiration for the Magic Kingdom! It all started with a Mouse!!

Alden & Samantha meet Cinderella's Fairy Godmother right outside of the castle. I took Clair for a walk so that she would get a nap. We walked all the way back to the Polynesian to take a few things back!

The filming of the Disney Christmas Day Parade was going on that day. We didn't watch any segments, but we were able to catch a few glimpses of the floats/balloons as we walked by. They film the parade over 3 different days at the Magic Kingdom. It takes all day and can exhausting for small children.

While I took Clair to the hotel, Doug took Samantha and Alden on Pirates of the Caribbean and The Magic Carpets of Aladdin.

I met back up with them again and we all rode the Jungle Cruise. Then, Doug and Samantha went on Splash Mountain while I pushed Alden & Clair around in the stroller so that Alden could get his nap!

I took Samantha and Clair on Cinderella's Golden Carousel while Alden was napping.

We ate supper and then watched the lighting of Cinderella's Castle before leaving for the night.

We went back to the Polynesian and had some Dole Whip ice cream and then went to the beach to watch the fireworks over Cinderella's Castle. It was pretty magical! The kids wanted to play in the sand, but us being mean parents, kept them on the cement! After the fireworks it was back to our room and off to sleep after a magical day!
